Abstract

This article introduces the special issue focusing on Global Civic Education and presents the institutional and social framework within which the research question that guided the investigation presented here took shape. The project, Global Civic Education. Transforming global citizenship education into practice through civic education, is a project of significant national interest (PRIN), funded under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) – Mission 4, Component 2, Investment 1.1, and aims to investigate how Global Citizenship Education is incorporated into the curriculum of upper secondary schools through the teaching of Civic Education.
