The Metaverses: are the new bodies subaltern?

Abstract
The appearance of “metaverses” in the techno-scientific scene amplifies the massive and mercantilistic encroachments in education. The structure of bodies, augmented in synthetic virtual worlds, provides unprecedented yet fragile subjectivities exposed to cultural implants. Virtual hybridization proposes known market forms, an altered idea of territory, the marginalization of the real world. If eco-pedagogically oriented, some hypotheses of the metaverse can, moreover, favor the posthuman.
