Methodological issues and context analysis in the development of open educational resources for refugees

Abstract
The research project Advenus – Developing Online Resources for Adult Refugees involved researchers from four European countries, reception service users and providers in the development of e-learning courses for refugees and asylum seekers. The article presents an analysis of some elements emerged from the research conducted in Italy. In detail, it shows the involvement of reception service providers trough the recent history of social professions and a brief analysis of migrants’ reception, and the implications arisen during the field trials of the courses. In the last section, from the experience gained in Advenus this contribution presents future research developments, whose aim is the improvement of refugees’ and asylum seekers’ language knowledge and e-skills abilities to foster their inclusion in the hosting countries.
